(Arsenal batch of 03/04 gone entire season with out loosing a single game, so are they the greatest......) even Barcelona could not better that, Can they? @yay….

However, you can't simply provide an analysis of 'he scores more goals so he's better' because a central midfielder's role is not to score goals but to dictate tempo, control the game, pick open defences with passes, etc. The fact that Barcelona have 3 truly world class strikers (and also quality youth such as Bojan and Pedro) means that Xavi and Iniesta don't have to score the goals themselves. The fact that they are the heartbeat and lifeblood of one of the greatest sides in living memory is evidence enough of their class, despite their inferior scoring record.
