Admittedly, Traore is not great, but any left back will suffer when their only protection is Arshavin. If you are going to play your third choice left back, you need to have better cover than Arshavin who simply does not track back whatsoever.

Bolton played well today, and were unfortunate not to get something from the game.

But maybe this is a sign that we won’t throw away leads, like we did against West Ham earlier in the season. Players like Arshavin, Eduardo, Rosicky and Nasri need to step up their game though, we rely far too much on Fabregas.

Diaby’s battling and strength is becoming more and more important to us, Vermaelen is a rock, Cesc is just sublime and Edwardo’s assists are proving crucial.

Getting rid of Ade and Toure was the best decision of the closed season. Would still love to see a quality striker join though.

Insightful Carlos, so what was your view on the game? Or don’t you have one…

Eduardo should have taken those passes earlier, which is what an Eduardo of old would have done. He needs a few sitters so he’s used to hitting the back of the net.

Arshavin’s form is worrying though, he just doesn’t seem happy at the moment.

I’m sorry but you’re wrong about Eduardo, his lack of burst of speed was the problem today. He should have had two goals in the first half but he’s unfortunately too slow. We do need a new striker and Wenger must know this.

I thought Diaby was asleep in the first half — many poor passes — had Denilson done so many, the screams would have crossed oceans.

Also think Vela deserves some mention for going up against that clumsy bully, Zat Knght, and not standing down, even though he gives away a foot. Like that spirit.

Fabregas only an 8?? Scored a superb goal, should have had two penalties in the first half, all the while being fouled every time he got the ball

Eatmond very promising indeed, come out of nowhere after playing right back for the youth team until this season and looks a real DMF option. Very cool under pressure
