You should have watched the game more — the goals were not Almunia’s fault: Ibra had an answer whether he came out or stayed back. Rather, the fault, as you say, lies with the lack of Gallas in the back line.

On Denilson, you are so so wrong. He was the difference in mid-field, and with him and Cesc, we should not be worried next week. He may not be strong enough for the EPL, but he showed far more than Diaby today.

Theo’s pace was great, and used pretty well, but his impact was largely due to Eboue and Bendtner’s use of him, their decisions when to give him the ball, and Barca’s refusal to put a Bolton on him.

Anyone who doubts the value of Denilson should consider how well he played tonight.He and Theo changed the game.We so desperately need proper centre half cover and Wenger failed to provide it.But we shouldn’t carp like the idiots who left after 59 minutes-this was a classic and our team’s spirit was awesome

You are way too harsh on Denilson, he made a significant contribution to our improved performance in the second half as he was one of the few cool heads on our team, which allowed us to keep possession of the ball more than we managed in the first half. He did not appear overawed as some did and he has to start the next game.

Indeed what an amazing game. But when you have two very good passing teams then the team that does best in stopping the other team from passing will inevitably come out on top. We were pasted in the that first half because they got tight to us, harried us and made us rush our passes under pressure. In contrast we were very lazy when we lost the ball and allowed Barcelona to pick passes and you give a team like Barcelona space and they will fillet you. In this respect I thought that Arshavin was a disgrace. Just didn’t want to know. He has no balls. Diaby was not much better, and given that Nasri has a shocking lack of pace, and Cesc clearly injured then it is no wonder that we were getting roasted in midfield.
Your summation of Barcelona playing to high up the field and Walcotts introduction and pace frightening the life out of them is spot on. 2-2 out of that game. I am still pinching myself. But I would have serious questions over the heart of a number of our players after tonight and Arshavin is top of the queue.

Brilliant game!! Arsenal play total possesion football most of the time and sometimes we are punished by team who have lesser possesion. This time we were the team with lesser possion BUT the team all stuck together & NEVER gave up & got the result. We can go to Camp Nou and get the result what is needed.

I think Marquez is injured.

But Chygrynskyi & Milto not a bad replacement as CB’s.

Diaby was sloppy today as he been immense past few game, but that was maybe due to Barca excellent pressing game.

We were limited to just crossing it with Nic the only man in the box at times when I felt we could have played the ball more through the middle or channels & wait for support, same attacking methods Vs ManUtd & Chelsea.

Sums up Almunia for me, good shot stopper, but shit decision making & not commanding enough.

Henry did not wanted to score v us. , he was running away from play or holding the ball & fecking about.
