Arsene Wenger Is Here To Stay! And I Couldn’t Be Happier!

Arsene Wenger has already decided his future, and the good news for Arsenal fans is that he’s here to stay!

The dream continues, and I couldn’t be happier.

He is the man who has brought us to where we are and he deserves a chance to finish the fairytale. He has transformed our club to one of the biggest in Europe, playing in one of the best and biggest stadiums in football – showcasing some of the talented players in football.

We’re consistently in the Champions League. Some deluded fans will say we never look like winning it but they seem to forget 2006 when we were robbed from glory against Barcelona. And some ungrateful fans will say so what, but ask Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City fans how many nights they’ve had in Europe’s premier competition? Exactly – be careful what you wish for.

The level of consistency Arsene Wenger brings is unprecedented and we are the envy of most European clubs. The future of the club is secure and we are more than healthy in decades to come.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal know the boss is staying on but won’t announce anything yet as the atmosphere around some sections of the club is a bit toxic – but rest assured, Arsene is here to stay!

  1. You’ve got to be joking mate. The man is tactically clueless. David Dein and Dennis Bergkamp were the main reasons for our success between 95/05. It’s no coincidence we’ve won nothing since they’ve been gone. What’s making it worse is we now have a Board that know absolute zero about the game and an owner that doesn’t care. Kenny Rolfe 35 years a season ticket holder and 25 years on the terraces before that

    • Arsene Wenger brought in Marc Overmars, Nicolas Anelka, Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit – I think they might have something to do with the success.

If you’ve been to the games for 35 years you’ll know better than anyone what life was like before Arsene Wenger.

  2. It will just make the current ‘toxic’ situation and continue the decline if Arséne stays. He was a great manager. But it speaks volumes that the most recent European glory you can summon up was a lost final over 11 years ago. The last league win 13 years ago. He brought us a long way but has no idea how to take us to the next stage. He can’t motivate the players, and his ego and arrogance is now coming before the interests of the club. The real problem is the board. It is not surprising that the Manager persists with his delusion that he can still fix things. The tragedy I there is no one above with the sense to tell him what we all know, that he can’t. It is time for him to go.

    • We’re in a footballing world where money talks more than ever now. We’ve have barren spells because of the stadium and Arsenal have been extremely close (closer than most fans know) of imploding – but Arsene has always steadied the ship and kept Arsenal afloat.

Now we’re finally financially stable and can compete with everyone else, then man deserves a chance.

  3. “The level of consistency Arsene Wenger brings is unprecedented and we are the envy of most European clubs”. Please name a top European club that has/would endure the current stagnation (that you class as consistency) without any attempt to change?? Wenger has masterfully lowered fan expectation to a level where you regard qualifying for a competition we haven’t got a hope in hell of winning, as a success.

    • In regards to our situation, yes it is a success. Compare our spending over the last 10 years to that of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and even Everton, and you will see we have exceeded any logical expectations. It’s the unrealistic expectations than fans have (because of Arsene Wenger I might add) which has skewed the landscape.

  4. For me Wenger looks like a man who still has the desire to do well for Arsenal. But desire alone is not enough! We need some fresh ideas in player recruitment and playing tactics. These have been noticeably lacking of recent. Though one must also admit that certain uncontrollable factors such as injuries and referee decisions have not been fair to the man.
Having said that, I wouldn’t accept a change just for the sake of it. Unless we can find someone with the pedigree and a demonstrable capacity to do better than Wenger and take the team to the next level now , I would say to keep what we have for now while looking for the ideal candidate.

    • Exactly, changing Arsene changes nothing.

Arsene Wenger has done exceptionally well do be where we are and now we have the financial capabilities he deserves a chance at leading Arsenal to Premier League glory.
