Player Of The Week
23.02.2008: Theo Walcott
Two great goals from the youngster against Birmingham City which really should have given Arsenal all 3 points. Looked lively and scored vital goals at a time when Arsenal looked like the game could have got away from them.
02.02.2008: Emmanuel Adebayor
Two goals against Manchester City, and 3 against Newcastle United. This fella is in sensational form and well, I’m speechless!
19.01.2008: Emmanuel Adebayor
Scored two great headers against Fulham to get Arsenal back on track and looks like he is really enjoying himself in the Arsenal team. He is probably one of our most important players and his form will be vital to what happens to Arsenal towards the end of the season. Thank the lord Togo didn’t qualify for the African Cup of Nations!
01.01.2008: Eduardo Da Silva
Continuing a great week with a superbly-taken goal against West Ham after only 2 minutes - not a bad way to score your first Premier League home goal of the season! I hate to say it but he reminds me of Ruud Van Nistelrooy in the way he scores his goals. A real predator who doesn’t need second chances, Eduardo looks like he can turn tight games in Arsenal’s favour.
29.12.2007: Eduardo Da Silva
In tight games that bit of class can make all the difference and this guy has it in abundance. Took his two goals against Everton superbly and could have done with his incisive finishing in other away games this season. Also grabbed a couple of well-taken goals away at Blackburn in the Carling Cup the other week and could just be the man who can give Arsenal that something extra in the second half of the season.
22.12.2007: Manuel Almunia
Made possibly one of the most important penalty saves of the season so far. Setup the match for Bendtner to become the hero and was mobbed by all this team-mates on the final whistle - they know how big that save was.
16.12.2007: Cesc Fabregas
Great comeback performance against Chelsea and involved in every Arsenal attack. Unlucky not to score himself and delivered the corner for Gallas’ winner. And who could forget that simply wonderful tackle on Cashley Cuntface?
