Chelsea Spurn Arsenal & Spurs for Ba and Agree Terms With Other Premier League Club

Sky Sports News have reported just now that Chelsea have confirmed that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur made enquiries for striker Demba Ba, but they have rejected both London clubs and accepted an offer from another unnamed Premier League club.

But Ba’s representatives did say that his preference was to play in the Champions League.

So what does this mean? Should Arsenal look elsewhere? Are Chelsea concerned about the threat from Arsenal in the Premier League and are they reluctant to strengthen another Premier League rival?

More to follow.

  1. Chelsea being wankers. That’s all. Their tactics for many years is to loan players to inferior clubs to strengthen them against their rivals knowing the loan players then cant play against them.

They bought their trophies, they can’t buy class!

  2. Why would Chelsea do Arsenal any favours ? Remember the fuss Wengar & Arsenal over the tapping up & signing Of Ashley Cole and the F.A. consequences for Chelsea. Of course Wengar didn’t deny Arsenal tap up players, as they did with Gallas, with no consequences from the F.A.(special F.A. rules for the Blues). Arsene objected to the way Chelsea did in that it did not meet his ethical (hypocritical) standards.

    • “The fuss” ? they meet one of our players, who was under contract, openly in a restaurant in the middle of london with a “we dont give a damm about any rules” attitude and made him an offer without our permission to even speak to him!!

    • Its all in the past, see benayoun. Quite simply chelsea want to sell ba not loan him. Arsenal are not sure about ba because they still have their eye on another marquee signing either a striker a winger or a centre back

  3. arsenal dont need Ba even bentener is better then him arsenal should look for some one better not Ba and we need strong offensives midfielder like song or yaya toure

    • Not sure if you have heard but flamini signed past week and was superb yesterday. Flamini arteta ramsey wilshire diaby frimpong for 2 places I would say the holding midfield is well covered. Walcott chamberlain rosicky ozil cazorla podolski ryo for 3 places I would say the attacking midfield is well covered. Keepers sorted too, for me its just striker and defender that is required now if not a left winger then have podolski as the rival for giroud.
