Arsenal Are 4 Games From Immortality

After the defeat to Everton, Arsenal were in a bad way. We had been embarrassed at Goodison Park and more importantly given the advantage to the Merseyside club in the race for fourth place.

Two weeks on and how things have changed. We are in the final of the FA Cup, and with Everton’s defeat to Southampton on Saturday, a win against Newcastle would give us a massive 4 point gap with only 2 games to play. So barring a massive disaster, we should secure 4th place.

Tonight we are at home to Newcastle United, the week after we’re up against West Brom (again at home) and then we have Norwich on the last day of the season. Then of course, we have Hull City Tigers in the FA Cup final.

So Arsenal are 4 victories away from immortality.

4 wins guarantees Champions League football next season, ensuring we’re still competing with Europe’s elite and can attract the very best players, and we will have won a major trophy for the first time since 2005.

With all the doom and gloom after our first Premier League fixture against Aston Villa, that would not be a bad season after all.

After the result at Anfield yesterday, it looks like Liverpool may have blown their chance to win the Premier League. Manchester City are favourites now to win it and Chelsea will be right in there.

Liverpool fans have been cheering and bigging up their team for most of the season and have overall probably had more enjoyable seasons. But if they don’t win the league and we win the FA Cup, we would have had a more successful season than them.

  1. If we can secure a champions league spot & a cup victory,it might trigger an influx of trophies in the future…up Afc.

  2. We won, and 2 more games to go. To win one more we are in the CL qualifying games. Just one more game. Go gooners.
For the FA Cup, just do our own job and should be ours.
