If everyone was fit and healthy (yes, I know, don’t laugh) and we had a full squad to pick from, who would be your choice as Arsenal’s main striker?
The days of 4-4-2 have long gone now and with our fluid 4-3-3 system, there’s only space for one central striker. So who would you choose?
Would you go with Olivier Giroud, a player who is improving all the time and brings others into play? Or Danny Welbeck, a warrior who can run in behind and has pace to burn?
Or alternatively, you could call upon the other players who Arsene Wenger has identified as possibilities as Arsenal’s main man – Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell can all apparently play that role.
And then we have Yaya Sanogo, a player who is raw and divides opinion like no other.
So who would you play in the central striking position?

Redundant question, since Giroud is banjaxed. We have the luxury of watchinh how Welbeck does in the interim and then make a rather more informed decision.
If they were all fit, numb nuts.
Why not leave it to the experts to decide given we are only fans and don’t have the skills, knowledge or experience to make those decisions?
I think this question should be asked in January. Hopefully Danny has a fantastic time as the Number 9 and takes the league by storm. However, it is most likely that he will not offer a lot more than Giroud.
Time will tell . . .
Who the fuck voted for Yaya SaNoGoals?
I didn’t!
OG12 OF COURSE is still arsenal first striker if welbeck shows is good in scoring for arsenal giroud wil recover quicker than expected in other to keep his place
I think Giroud fits in the way we play the game under Wenger and offers something a bit different up front. As in Arseblog, he has got presence, http://news.arseblog.com/2015/02/wenger-giroud-such-a-big-presence/. Seems to be the consensus here, http://www.compareitversus.com/compare-danny-welbeck-vs-olivier-giroud/ . I think he is not finished either and will improve further.
