Mark Clattenburg Cost Arsenal The Game Tonight!

Arsenal lost for the first time since the opening day of the season in a game they didn’t deserve to lose – all because of that c*nt of a referee Mark Clattenburg.

Below par? Perhaps. Sluggish? Certainly. But Everton we in no way better than us tonight.

The problem with Clattenburg is that he is an attention seeker. He just LOVES the spotlight. The guy cannot help himself. He needs to be the centre of the universe and tonight he didn’t disappoint.

In a football match, the referee’s decisions matter. They dictate the tempo of the game and even the small decisions were awful. 

But he saved the best till last.

Deep into stoppage time, when Arsenal were turning the screw and pinning back Everton, the ball was blocked twice on the line. The ball ricocheted to Alexis Sanchez who was on the left side of the box. He clearly nicked the ball and then was blatantly taken out.

Stone wall penalty.

Even watching on TV in real time, I knew it was and penalty. It was one of those incidents you don’t need to see again, or from another angle in slow motion. It was a penalty every single day of the week.

And what does Clattenc*nt do? Wave play on obviously. 

We may not have played particularly well but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve decisions when they are clear as day. We had 2 shots saved of the line and a clear penalty decision waved away. 

A lot of anger has been sent towards Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal players but this time it’s not deserved. The defeat was down to one c*nt of a referee.

Can Arsenal Beat Everton Tonight? Here’s My Prediction!

This weekend was a decent one for Arsenal – we beat Stoke City 3-1, Manchester City lost, Liverpool only drew and Tottenham also lost by a single goal at Old Trafford.

But tonight sees us travel up to Merseyside in a game we usually struggle in. The results have been okay but it’s always a tough game up there and they always give us a run for our money.

Last year we beat them 2-0 at Goodison Park, with goals from Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck, and the season before we drew 2-2 after late, late goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud to steal a point at the death. In 2014 we got mullered 3-0, and the season before that it ended 1-1. So the results have been mixed.

But what do you think? Can we beat Everton tonight?

It seems as if a win tonight would set a real marker in the title race and you just have the feeling that we might bottle it.

Prediction?

I think Everton will make it tough for us, considering how open they’ve been recently and in the process dropped silly points. They’ll be defending for their lives, especially as they know we have the ability to rip them apart when we’re on song.

I think the game will end 2-1 to Arsenal, and it’ll be very tight.

We as most Arsenal fans expected, the Manchester United game was a disappointment.

Once again, Arsenal bottled it at Old Trafford and looked scared against Manchester United. There’s no denying that the home side dominated the game – creating the clearer chances and they were denied a stone wall penalty in my book.

But with seconds remaining in a game Arsenal were lucky to still be in, a darting run from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found Olivier Giroud at the far post to head home emphatically – from Arsenal’s first attempt on target.

So was it a good game or bad game for Arsenal?

We played extremely poorly yet took away a point – so it depends on your viewpoint.

For me when I saw the starting line-up I was shocked at the inclusion of Aaron Ramsey. The whole starting eleven looked strange and didn’t sit right with me – and it showed – as we plodded through the entire match second best.

I thought that Xhaka should have started alongside Coquelin and if you’re going to play Özil behind the front three with Alexis in the middle, then Walcott and Iwobi are a much better combination with the Chilean. The only way Ramsey (for Iwobi) would have worked was if Giroud was up top and Alexis replaced Walcott.

Is Arsenal’s Season About To Start Unravelling?

It’s been confirmed that Arsenal will be without the services of Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez, two of our main starters this season. Bellerin looks like he’s out for a few weeks with an ankle injury, while Alexis apparently has a hamstring problem – meaning he won’t be back any time soon.

Arsenal have been playing well recently but stuttered against Tottenham at home last weekend, where we put in a somewhat subdued performance. No we have injuries to two of our most important players – so is this the start of our collapse?

There is always a time in the season, usually around November where we drop points and lose ground in the title race. Our first game back after the International break is at Old Trafford which could prove to be our season defining game.

Win and there’s confidence that we can actually challenge this season – but a defeat would mean the same old story and the belief that the best we can achieve is a Top 4 position once again.

It’s a game I am really worried about for several reasons. Firstly, it’s Old Trafford. Apart from the FA Cup game a couple of season ago, we haven’t won there in ages. And generally speaking, when we have lost there it seems to have sucked all the life out of us, affected our performances in the games following on from that match. Secondly, it’s Jose Mourinho. We all know what a sneaky cunt he is and tactically, he’ll have us sussed out. He also has a knack of shitting on your parade and we all know what he did to Liverpool with Chelsea, that season where the Merseysiders were favourites for the title.

The Manchester United game is one where I would love a win so so much but reluctantly accept that if we leave with a draw then it would be a miracle.

Tomorrow sees the Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur in what will prove to be an interesting battle. Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League while Tottenham are 3 points behind in fifth. Arsenal have won 9 and drawn 1 of their last 10 games, while Tottenham have won 4, drawn 4 and lost 2 of their last 10. So the in form team of the moment are Arsenal.

But despite Tottenham and their struggles, it’s easy to forget that they’re only 3 points behind us in the league.

Anything can happen in a derby, although Arsenal’s record at home against Tottenham as we all know, is excellent.

We always manage to score in North London Derbies and with Giroud, Sanchez, Özil, Walcott and even Oxlade-Chamberlain amongst the goals of late, we shouldn’t struggle for goals.

But as they say, there’s nothing worse than playing against a wounded animal and Tottenham are that at the moment. They had a disappointing defeat at “home” in the Champions League midweek, and only picked up 3 points from their last 4 league games. So expect them to sit deep and try and get us in the break – a tactic which is Arsenal’s achilles heel.

It’s just a fact that Tottenham over the last few seasons have developed into a very good team and have certainly improved from being the great pretenders to a side which has real aspirations of winning major honours. Even though we still finished above them in the Premier League last season, they were the ones pushing Leicester City the hardest last year.

Tottenham will be hell bent on making sure they don’t lose another game and hitting us on the break will be a dangerous tactic to face. Even though Arsenal have been flying recently I just can’t see Tottenham giving us any space in behind and they will be threat on the counter attack.

For me, they will suffocate Arsenal and the game will finish 1-1.
