Arsene Wenger Is Here To Stay! And I Couldn’t Be Happier!

Arsene Wenger has already decided his future, and the good news for Arsenal fans is that he’s here to stay!

The dream continues, and I couldn’t be happier.

He is the man who has brought us to where we are and he deserves a chance to finish the fairytale. He has transformed our club to one of the biggest in Europe, playing in one of the best and biggest stadiums in football – showcasing some of the talented players in football.

We’re consistently in the Champions League. Some deluded fans will say we never look like winning it but they seem to forget 2006 when we were robbed from glory against Barcelona. And some ungrateful fans will say so what, but ask Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City fans how many nights they’ve had in Europe’s premier competition? Exactly – be careful what you wish for.

The level of consistency Arsene Wenger brings is unprecedented and we are the envy of most European clubs. The future of the club is secure and we are more than healthy in decades to come.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal know the boss is staying on but won’t announce anything yet as the atmosphere around some sections of the club is a bit toxic – but rest assured, Arsene is here to stay!

Arsene Wenger Can Turn This Around & Win The Premier League Next Season!

It has been a poor run for Arsenal – only one win in five in the Premier League, as well as demoralising defeating in the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich.

As it stands this afternoon, we are 5 points behind 4th spot, but have a game in hand.

So where do we go from here?

The number of Arsenal fans that want Arsene Wenger out seems to be increasing by the day. But as I’ve said a million times, getting rid of Arsene Wenger is not the answer:

The problem is with the Arsenal board.

Do people have short memories? Have people forgotten what’s happened up North at a place called Old Trafford?

Sir Alex Ferguson departed Manchester and look what happened? They struggled badly under David Moyes, had limited success under Louis Van Gaal and under Jose Mourinho? Well apparently they’ve been on this amazing unbeaten run but where are they? Oh yeah that’s right, they’re still below Arsenal – and in 7th place no less.

Do Arsenal fans really think getting rid of Arsene Wenger is the answer?

Any other manager coming in would do worse than Arsene, that’s guaranteed. If you want to win the Premier League then you’re best bet is with Wenger at the helm.

He is not a stupid man and is his own worst critic. He doesn’t need fans to stage disgraceful protest and be given vitriol during matches. He knows the problems the club has and will address them this summer, no doubt.

It’s clear some players have let him down and whereas in the past he might have had to put up with this crap from the players, now he’s in a position where he can get rid of the dead wood.

Arsenal have the money to compete and Arsene knows where to strengthen the team. It’s clear from his interviews and overall demeanour this season he’s had enough of the shit he gets from fans but also the mistakes certain players keep making. He knows his time is almost up so that’s why next season, he will go all out to make sure it is a successful one.

Next season he has everything to lose so you can be sure Arsenal will win the Premier League next season. He is well aware that Arsenal haven’t won the league since 2004 and his last act is to leave on a high – and that will be to win the Premier League before announcing his departure.

In the past he has been restricted but next season will be our time – the handcuffs are off and next season, Arsene Wenger will mean business.

Who Should Be Arsenal’s Next Manager? Vote Here!

Every Arsenal supporter has his opinion on whether they want Arsene Wenger to stay or leave. The number of people, especially online anyway, who want Wenger out seems to be increasing by the day. But what proportion of Arsenal fans is that? There’s no way of knowing but it would be interesting – after all it’s usually the disgruntled people that shout the loudest so it could be the majority of Arsenal fans want Arsene to stay on.

For what it’s worth, I think Arsene Wenger will be here next season – but I also think that will be his last. He has unfinished business at the club and you don’t dedicate over 20 years of your life to something just to pack it all in because a few fans are upset. You might think that is a bit facetious but it’s true!

Arsene is an intelligent man and he knows the number of fans who aren’t happy is increasing, albeit it in proportionally  small numbers. That’s why he’ll give himself one more season and then call it a day.

Anyway, the point I’ve been trying to make – and not very well – is that Arsene’s future is coming to an end. So the big question is who should be the next Arsenal manager after Arsene Wenger finally calls it a day?

I’ve looked online, checked out a couple of betting websites and come up with a list of 16 realistic candidates which are below. So the question is do you want someone who will tear it up like Simeone, someone with vast experience such as Ancelotti, or perhaps a manager with excellent European football pedigree in Benitez?

If it were up to me? You will laugh but I think I would go for someone like Rafa Benitez. He is an excellent tactician, has an excellent record in Europe and the players in the main respect him. We have a Spanish contingent in the team which would help and he’s managed at some of the biggest clubs in Europe. For me as well, he knows how to coach defence and with our attacking threat, adding defensive stability would only be a positive thing.

Anyway, cast your vote below for who you think should be the next Arsenal manager!

People Power Will Force the End of Wenger’s Gunners Reign

As disgruntled Gunners fans prepare to fly a banner at the next away game calling for the sacking of Arsene Wenger, the 67-year-old has admitted that people power will play a part in his future.

“Fans will have an influence,” he admitted in a recent news conference. “You consider everything. It will not be the most important factor but you consider it, of course. I’ve worked very hard for 20 years to make the fans happy and when you lose I understand they are not.”

Make no mistake about it, with the rising groundswell of opposition to the long-time boss being offered a new contract this summer, Wenger’s days are numbered at the Emirates. While the Frenchman has largely enjoyed the support of the majority of Gunners fans over his 20-year tenure due to success on the pitch, their patience is now wearing thin.

There is arguably nothing more influential in football than popular opinion. Take, for example, the capping of away match tickets at £30 by all Premier League sides at the start of the season. The move came following the concerted and continued efforts of supporters’ groups, who had long protested that they were being unfairly hit in the pocket by clubs. According to a recent study by money-saving website Voucherbox, which takes into account both ticket and travel costs, Gunners fans would actually save around £183 a year by attending each of the club’s 19 away games rather than going to home matches.

Similarly, Cardiff City is also an eminent example of people power in action. When businessman Vincent Tan took over the Bluebirds in 2012, he extraordinarily ended over 100 years of tradition by changing the club’s trademark colours from blue to red. Understandably, Cardiff’s fan base were unimpressed with the abrupt switch-up, which Tan incredulously justified by describing red as a “lucky” colour. Following three years of widespread fan protests in the Welsh capital, the Malaysian investor performed an even more extraordinary U-turn by reverting the club’s home colours to blue two years ago.

With Arsenal currently lying fifth in the table, missing out on Champions League action next season seems a genuine possibility – with the FA Cup remaining the solitary, but admittedly slim, chance for silverware. For a lot of fans, this is no longer good enough; Arsenal have struggled to keep up with their Premier League rivals over the past several years, and title contention has barely seemed likely.

If fans can drive down ticket prices and force about a change in the very identity of their club, regime change is surely not out of the question, either. Indeed, Wenger should be concerned by a recent statement from Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick, who despite claiming that “any decisions [on Wenger’s future] will be made mutually”, refused to give the Frenchman the board’s full backing in the form of an extension to his current contract, due to expire in the summer.
